On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a full-time Accounting Supervisor / Assistant Accounting Manager
to join their growing team in Nicosia. Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing financial analysis and reporting to management as required.
- Responsible for performing month-end accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure assigned accounting tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for Management review.
- Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Coordinate various planning phases of the firm’s engagements.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing accounting procedures and processes.
- Assist with auditing activities by providing the necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Monitor engagements to ensure work is completed effectively and on time.
- Review accounting reports and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Provide supervision, guidance, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff.
- Support the Accounting Manager / senior management with day-to-day accounting operations and ad hoc projects as required.
Job Requirements
- Qualified accountant and holder of ACA/ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial and management accounting, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Very good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and accounting software.
- Knowledge and experience in Indirect Tax / VIES is essential.
- Excellent command of Greek and English.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
