Accounting Supervisor / Assistant Accounting Manager

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a full-time Accounting Supervisor / Assistant Accounting Manager
 to join their growing team in Nicosia. This company is a well-established accounting and audit firm providing high-quality services in audit, tax, advisory, accounting, and financial reporting to both local and international clients. Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing financial analysis and reporting to management as required.
  • Responsible for performing month-end accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure assigned accounting tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for Management review.
  • Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
  • Coordinate various planning phases of the firm’s engagements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing accounting procedures and processes.
  • Assist with auditing activities by providing the necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Monitor engagements to ensure work is completed effectively and on time.
  • Review accounting reports and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff.
  • Support the Accounting Manager / senior management with day-to-day accounting operations and ad hoc projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified accountant and holder of ACA/ACCA.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial and management accounting, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and accounting software.
  • Knowledge and experience in Indirect Tax / VIES is essential.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
