Head of PSP

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall PSP strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Identify new PSPs, markets, and payment opportunities.
  • Set and monitor PSP performance KPIs (approval rates, costs, uptime, success rates).
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the PSP team.
  • Own relationships with PSPs at a senior level.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs.
  • Represent the company at PSP events, expos, and conferences.
  • Optimize PSP portfolio to improve performance and reduce risk.
  • Oversee the full onboarding lifecycle of new PSPs from start to go-live.
  • Ensure KYC, compliance, due diligence, and contracts are completed properly.
  • Coordinate with Tech team for smooth integrations.
  • Ensure proper testing, issue resolution, and launch readiness.
  • Act as escalation point for PSP-related issues.
  • Align internal teams (Tech, Product, Compliance, Finance, Risk).
  • Translate business needs into operational and technical actions.
  • Improve processes, automation, and scalability.
  • Monitor payment trends, regulations, and technologies.
  • Identify innovation opportunities and new solutions.
  • Provide insights to improve payment performance and strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of payment methods, acquiring, and PSP ecosystems.
  • Experience managing PSP relationships and negotiations.
  • Understanding payment flows, integrations, and systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to optimize payment performance and costs.
  • Knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Experience in Forex, iGaming, Crypto, or fintech.
