Back Office Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective implementation of Know your Customer (KYC) procedure to all potential and existing Clients in line with the company policies and procedures
  • Executing daily tasks relating to account opening / maintenance and closures
  • Monitoring of clients’ accounts regarding suspicious transactions and notifying the AMLCO when clients’ investment/economic profiles do not match
  • Preparing various regulatory reports related to back office
  • Identifying and enhancing internal procedures, systems, and controls
  • Communicating with other internal departments and the Company’s partners
  • Providing regular progress and management reporting, including KPI
  • Resolving internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Taking initiative, delegating effectively, and communicating clearly to meet the department’s goals
  • Account Opening Procedures: individual and corporate
  • Improve overall client satisfaction by ensuring a smooth and efficient on boarding experience
  • Updating Back Office manual according to any changes in procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Economics/Finance/Business or in a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a must
  • Able to work in different shifts (Morning shift = 7:00/8:00 am till 16:00/17:00 pm/ Afternoon shift = 15:00/16:00 pm till 00:00/1:00 am/ Middle shift = 12:00 pm till 21:00 pm/ Night shift = 12 am till 7:00 am)
  • Fluent in English – Written and verbal
  • Location: Malaysia
  • Any other language will be considered an advantage
  • Computer literate – very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
